There are many translation services through the Internet. None of them are perfect, and many do not cater to certain language dialects, such as French Canadian. Google though does present the best compromise between user friendly, interactive, and the ability to perform a fairly good translation task. It can also learn through on-the-page corrections submitted by the user. Google, for the present time will be the standard translator for VVi.
There a few Google methods to translate English web pages into French.
Most of VVi web pages have the image below, in the top left of the page. Just click on the image and that page will be translated through Google Translation Services. It will also be displayed in the appropriate location of the same window. The French translation will also apply to any links that are on the translated page.
Click on the 'Google' image below to be redirected to the Google translation site. You can translate a single word to phrases to web pages either in French or any other language offered by Google. A new window will open.

Don't bother looking up word translations one by one in webpages in English. With Google Toolbar, you just pause the pointer over an English word, and the Word Translator displays that word's meaning in your own language.
